I've read enough about "vegan cats" online to know that it takes real effort (especially with regards to male cas). We're willing to put in the effort and joinging this group is part of our vegan process. We don't have a supportive vet here. Given that, and our current lack of knowledge and direct experience with vegan cats, we're sticking with a conventional diet for them. We're not standing still, though! We are taking this time to become educated by seeking out the information and direction that we will need when we do make the change.

We take care of two cats: Aidan and Oliver. Aidan is a Red Tabby Maine Coon who wandered into my fiancee's life in Boston nine years ago. Oliver is a gray-and-black striped tabby kitten who came into our life in Blacksburg in September by way of a pregnant stray (Latoya) taken in by one of my fiancee's coworkers.
